The 5-minute first job: from blank account to invoice

The fastest way to evaluate a field service CRM is to use it the way a real crew uses it. Here is the loop we built LLUMIFIELD around. If you can run this five-step loop in five minutes, the rest of the product fits in your head.

Minute 1 - Company profile

Sign in, hit the green onboarding banner, and fill in business name, address, phone, default tax rate, and upload your logo. This is the data that prints on every invoice and email, so getting it right once saves you forever.

Minute 2 - First client

Open Clients, hit + Add, type the customer's name, email, phone, and service address. Mobile geocoder turns the address into a real map pin you can route to.

Minute 3 - First appointment

From the client's profile, hit Schedule. Pick the project type, assign yourself (or a tech), pick a time block, and add a short description. The Today view picks it up automatically.

Minute 4 - First invoice

Open the appointment, mark it as completed, and tap Create invoice. The customer, address, and project flow in. Add line items, set tax, and tap Send. The customer gets an email with a public invoice link.

Minute 5 - First payment

Open the invoice email yourself. Tap the pay link. Enter a Stripe test card (or your real card for a $1 dummy invoice). Watch the payment post back to LLUMIFIELD and show up on the dashboard. That is the loop.

What you just did - capture customer, schedule work, send invoice, receive payment - is the entire job-to-cash loop for a service business. If a CRM cannot do it in five minutes, it will not survive your morning rush.
