Switching from Jobber to LLUMIFIELD in one weekend
If you have a Friday and a Saturday, you can move your service business from Jobber to LLUMIFIELD without missing a single Monday morning appointment. Here is the playbook we use with beta partners.
Friday morning: export everything
- In Jobber, export Clients, Properties, Invoices, and Quotes to CSV.
- Download a copy of any client attachments you actually use day-to-day. Most teams discover they only need maybe 10% of what is stored.
- Take a fresh QuickBooks Online backup (or write down the last synced invoice number for safety).
Friday afternoon: stand up LLUMIFIELD
- Request a LLUMIFIELD beta account at llumifield.com. We confirm same-day during beta hours.
- Run the guided onboarding: company profile, branding (logo + colors), business hours, default tax rate.
- Invite the office staff first. Hold off on inviting techs until Sunday so they only see one system on Monday.
Saturday morning: import data
- Use the Clients import with your exported CSV. Map first name, last name, business name, email, phone, and primary address. Leave properties for round two.
- Import open Invoices and Quotes. Mark anything already paid in Jobber as paid in LLUMIFIELD so QuickBooks does not see it twice.
- Connect Stripe (for new payments) and QuickBooks Online (for the accounting backbone). Test a $1 dummy invoice end-to-end.
Saturday afternoon: rebuild this week's schedule
- List every appointment on Jobber's calendar for the next 7 days.
- Recreate each appointment in LLUMIFIELD with the assigned tech, the address, and the project type.
- Send the "On My Way" reminder previews so you can spot any wrong phone numbers before Monday.
Sunday: invite techs, send the announcement
- Invite technicians to LLUMIFIELD. Have them install the mobile app and sign in once.
- Send a short message to customers: "We are upgrading our scheduling system this weekend. You may see a new sender address on confirmations." Done.
Monday: cancel Jobber on Friday
Run LLUMIFIELD live for a full week before you cancel Jobber. If anything is wrong, you still have the old system to fall back on. We have not seen a beta partner need to roll back; the parallel week is just for confidence.
What about historical data?
LLUMIFIELD does not require you to import old closed jobs. Most teams import the current year and leave Jobber as a read-only archive for tax purposes. If you want to bulk-import several years of history, we can help.
